PROJECT: 357 Freight Movers
Original Concept Sketch
First Concept Draft
I followed your outline for the design, pulled the colors from the references you gave me, and then modified them according to your notes.
Below, you will see how I ended up with the 357 design and additional design concepts using these same elements.
357 Emblem Designs
Below are the designs made for the “357” concept to find the one that worked the best to visually.
I found it was essential that the “three five seven” be placed above the final design to ensure the numbers weren’t lost in translation, as you want to make sure anyone who sees your logo is able to find you again.
Additional Concepts
I spent some additional time with these elements and these colors, and this is what I came up with.
THREE FIVE SEVEN: As previously explained, I felt it was necessary to write this out as when getting some feedback from testing, people couldn’t easily distinguish the three numbers in the design.
COLORS: I worked with the original colors you provided, but I found that the teal and pink you had selected paired best together as they’re complementary colors. The original four-color scheme felt a bit overwhelming, so I focused on these colors as the strongest options.
TYPOGRAPHY: I tested a lot of different permanent marker and Sharpie style fonts and found this one worked the best and was the most readable.
ANGLE: I tried several rotations on the square in the background but found it looks best when only the “Freight Movers” text is at an angle.
I’m happy to provide additional options for the logo, including different “357” emblems, color combinations, fonts, and angles. Just let me know what you would like to see!
